Today I had the honour of attending the beautiful international art event
World Painting: A Living Artwork of Humanity
at
The Ritz-Carlton DIFC
in Dubai.
It was a truly inspiring experience, filled with creativity, culture and meaningful human connection. From the moment I arrived, I could feel that this was not just another art event. It was a gathering of people from different artistic, cultural and international backgrounds, all brought together by a shared appreciation for art and humanity.
The atmosphere was elegant, warm and full of energy. There was a strong sense of openness in the room, where artists, collectors, cultural representatives, business leaders and creative minds could meet, exchange ideas and celebrate the power of art. For me, this is one of the most beautiful aspects of art: it creates a language that everyone can understand, even when we come from different countries, traditions and experiences. One of the most special moments of the event was having the honour of meeting
His Excellency Yaqoob Al Ali
. It was a pleasure to meet him and to be part of an environment where art, culture and the international business community came together in such a meaningful way.
Events like this remind me why art is so important. Art is not only about colour, technique or the final piece hanging on a wall. Art is also about emotion, memory, dialogue and connection. It has the ability to bring people closer, to open conversations and to create bridges between cultures. At
World Painting: A Living Artwork of Humanity
, this idea felt very present.
The title of the event itself carries a beautiful message.
A Living Artwork of Humanity
suggests that humanity is not something still or fixed. It is alive. It is always moving, changing and evolving through the people we meet, the stories we share and the experiences we create together. In many ways, the people attending the event became part of the artwork itself. Every conversation, every introduction and every shared moment added something to the atmosphere.
The setting at
The Ritz-Carlton DIFC
made the experience even more special. Located in the heart of Dubai’s financial and cultural district, the venue offered a refined and sophisticated backdrop for an international art gathering. DIFC is a place where business, creativity, luxury and culture naturally meet. For an event focused on art and humanity, it felt like the right location. Dubai has become an important city for artists and creative people from around the world. It is a place where different cultures meet every day, and where opportunities can grow through connection, vision and collaboration. Being part of this event made me feel grateful to be witnessing and participating in this evolving cultural landscape.
As an artist, I always believe that creativity becomes stronger when it is shared. A painting may begin in a quiet, personal space, but once it is shown to the world, it begins a new life. It meets new eyes, new emotions and new interpretations. This is where art becomes alive. It no longer belongs only to the artist. It becomes part of a bigger human conversation. That is what I felt during this event. It was not only about attending a beautiful evening. It was about being present in a space where art was treated as something meaningful and alive. It was about meeting people who value creativity, culture and the importance of bringing communities together.
I was grateful for the invitation and for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful event in Dubai. Moments like this inspire me as an artist and remind me that art has a role beyond decoration. It can connect people. It can carry stories. It can create emotion. It can open doors to new conversations and new possibilities.
Meeting people from different parts of the world, all gathered in appreciation of art, was a powerful reminder that creativity has no borders. We may come from different cultures, speak different languages and live different lives, but art gives us a place to meet.
For me,
World Painting: A Living Artwork of Humanity
was more than an event. It was an experience of connection, inspiration and gratitude. It showed how powerful art can be when it is shared in the right environment, surrounded by people who understand its value.
I left the evening feeling inspired, thankful and connected to a wider creative community. Dubai continues to offer beautiful opportunities for artists, and I am grateful to be part of moments that celebrate culture, humanity and artistic expression.
